County Clare
County Clare is one of Ireland's most visited counties. It boasts both the Cliffs of Moher and the unique Burren region as it's main attractions. Ennis is the principal town - and old medieval town whose narrow streets retain much of the old character. Shannon Airport is in County Clare and nearby is Bunratty Castle and Folk Park where traditional medieval banquets are a final night tradition.
Lahinch and Doonbeg golf clubs are within 15 miles of each other on the west coast of Clare, while the recently renovated golf course at Dromoland Castle is just 10 minutes from Shannon Airport. There are fine parkland courses at Woodstock, just outside Ennis, and at East Clare in the east of the county near Lough Derg. Across the estuary of the River Shannon and accessible via a short ferry crossing is County Kerry and the many famous links in that county.
