Galway, the city of the tribes, is Ireland's fourth largest and best city. Built on the mouth of the River Corrib just south of the beautiful lake of the same name, Galway provides the visitor with the best of Irish history & culture in a small and charming city. You will find excellent shopping restauarants and pubs and in the nearby seaside suburb of Salthill a wonderful promenade that looks over Galway Bay to the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

Located just over one hour from Shannon Airport, Galway is an excellent choice for a first nights stay on the way to the golfing delights of Connemara, Carne or Enniscrone. Galway Bay Golf & Country Club is south of the city as is Gort GOlf Club, both of which can be played en-route to the city.
