County Wicklow
County Wicklow is known as 'The Garden of Ireland' and is certainly one of the most peacedful and tranquil counties in Ireland. It is rich in beautiful scenery - mganificent beaches line the east coast while inland the Wicklow mountains dominate the landscape. In these mountains thare are several magnificent valleys - Glenmacree, Glenmalure, Glenmacnass and the outstanding Glen of Imaal. Perhaps the most famous of all is Glendalough - the valley of two lakes - a 6th century monastic settlement that retains an overwhelming air of peace an tranquility.
Built on three peninsulas jutting into these lakes is Tulfarris golf course. This excellent track is beside the Tulfarris hotel, an ideal choice for the visiting golfer. Neraby are the two great courses at Druids Glen & Druids Heath and another at Rathsallagh. One of the newest and best links courses in Ireland is The Europen Club, on the east coast of Wicklow at Brittas Bay.
