Ryder Cup Ticket Details Confirmed

RTE, Ireland's national TV & Radio Network, reports today that it has been confirmed that paid attendance to the Ryder Cup matches will be limited to 40,000 per day but that only 32,500 will be available to the public. Details of the global public lottery, due to be published in national press during February, will now not be announced until the week of the Nissan Irish Open in May.

No details are given as to how many of the 32,500 available tickets will only be available through the official travel agencies of the European and PGA Tours and therefore how many tickets are actually available to the general public via the lottery system.

Meanwhile both the European Tour and PGA websites reports that tickets will go on sale during the week of the Irish Open (commencing Monday 16th May) and that anyone already registered at the European Tour Website will be offered first refusal during that week.

Ticket prices are as follows:

Tuesday Day Ticket: € 35
Wednesday Day Ticket: € 35
Thursday Day Ticket: € 45
Friday Day Ticket: € 100 (first days play)
Saturday Day Ticket: € 100 (second days play)
Sunday Day Ticket: € 130 (Final days play)

Thursday and Friday: € 140

Saturday and Sunday: € 220

Thursday - Sunday: € 345
