The 2006 Ryder Cup promises to be the biggest international event ever staged in Ireland. We have created a site dedicated to news & information concerning this great event and also provide full details of available Ryder Cup packages. Details of a fantastic competition are coming soon.

From September 24-26, 2006, Ireland will host the Ryder Cup for the very first time. The event promises to be one of the biggest events ever held in Ireland and the atmosphere will be teriffic.

Tailor-Made Golf Tours will continue to customise golf packages for clients interested in a golf vacation in Ireland to coincide with the Ryder Cup. The majority of accommodation providers and golf clubs in Ireland have not finalised their rates or availability for what is expected to be one of the largest sporting events ever held in Ireland. There is no doubt that planning and organising a golf trip for September 2006 should start very soon!

Packages that include tickets will be offered as soon as we receive details of our ticket allocation. To receive details of these packages, when they are available, please e-mail us. Rest assured that we will not be 'auctioning' our tickets to the highest bidder - our packages will be fairly priced and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Venue:

The K-Club, Straffan, County Kildare
The K-Club is one of Ireland's premier luxury golf resorts. Located 17 miles west of Dublin and set in 550 acres of countryside bisected by the River Liffey the K-Club boasts two Arnold Plamer designed golf courses. The original North Course, opened in 1991, will host the Ryder Cup matches.

Tickets:

Ryder Cup Travel Services are the official ticket distributors for the European Tour, while Premier Golf in Georgia are the official distributors for the PGA Tour. All public tickets have now been allocate via the official lottery sytem.

Golf:

September 2006 will be the busiest golf month ever seen in Ireland and courses throughout the country are expecting a high volume of visitor traffic. Expect golf courses in and around Dublin to be heavily booked and oversubscribed. September 2006 provides an excellent opportunity to play the less well known courses of southeastern, western, northwestern and midland Ireland.

Accommodation:

Most hotel accommodation in and around Dublin has already been reserved. Tailor-Made Golf Tours will focus on providing accommodation in locations accessible to the K-Club outside of Dublin.
